Why a Price Increase Costs More Than Money

POV: Ryan Thomas, Chief Operating Officer

We constantly strive to have best-in-class quality, either that's single-digit PPM for some companies or sub-500, depending on what market they're in.

We always strive to hit on-time delivery through being very innovative on the supply chain side and trying to add automation into our manufacturing to get product out the door as quick as we can.

And then last but not least is really focus on cost. Every time you raise a price, you're taking withdrawal from that bank account where you're constantly making deposits into that relationship. And a price increase is a pretty big withdrawal, and it really creates a lot of friction with the customer. So we really go above and beyond, not just on leveraging the supply base to offset price increases, but innovating in the manufacturing process to take out overhead or to take out labor to try to offset that as well.
