We're Starting Something New.

Welcome to Morey Field Notes.

Think of it as a back-pocket notebook from inside the work.

Once a month, sometimes less, we’ll share short observations from real projects, real systems, and the decisions that shape what happens next.

You’re getting this because you’ve engaged with us before. If it’s useful, stick around. If not, no hard feelings. Inboxes are noisy. We get it.

TL;DR

The hardest part isn't building anymore.

It's deciding what should be built, early.

Those decisions shape everything that follows.

Observation

Most problems blamed on execution were decided long before anything was built.

In a more connected world, decisions that used to come later now happen at the start.

Hardware choices shape software behavior. Manufacturing assumptions shape roadmaps. Early shortcuts quietly limit what’s possible later.

Once something is built, the window narrows. At that point, teams aren’t choosing direction. They’re carrying it through.

The work that holds up usually starts with time spent deciding what should be built, how it will be made, and what needs to stay flexible before anything gets locked in.

In Practice

These challenges surface when design intent meets manufacturing reality.

Cost, durability, assembly, and future change are already in play well before production starts. The real question is when those tradeoffs become visible.

When do they usually show up for you?

Worth a Look

We made a short video to clarify what we’re building toward and what customers can expect from us as this next chapter takes shape.

Around here, we're:

  • →
Spending more time upstream in planning conversations and roadmap work
  • →
Getting ready for CONEXPO, where we’ll show how our connected hardware portfolio shows up together on construction job sites

Want Morey Field Notes in your inbox?

Share a little info below and we'll send you:

  • →
A short monthly note from inside the work.
  • →
Observations from the field, the shop floor, and the systems we’re building. What’s changing. What’s getting harder. What’s starting to matter more.
  • →
No hype. No sales cycle. Just clear perspectives and patterns we’re seeing along the way.
  • →
One email per month. Sometimes fewer. Read it now, save it for later, or skip a month. All good.
