Continuous Improvement
MOREY fosters a continuous improvement culture to reduce costs, increase quality and deliver greater value to our customers. We do this by employing a symbiotic set of business principles and philosophies. Some of those philosophies include:
LEAN
MOREY has implemented a robust LEAN program to eliminate waste and increase overall value delivery to customers. An interdepartmental Lean Implementation Team meets monthly to set vision and create strategies to promote a Lean culture. The following is a few examples of what LIT has implemented:
- There are over 100 Andon stations throughout the corporate headquarters. This ensures that problems are fixed fast and forever.
- All managers engage in quarterly goal-setting via A3’s. This promotes accountability, transparency and knowledge share across the entire organization.
- 5S is fully integrated into all public areas, conference rooms, work stations and offices. This maximizes efficiencies and boosts overall employee morale.
- Perfection in all areas of the company is pursued through frequent Kaizen events.
SIX SIGMA
There are numerous Six Sigma black belts within MOREY.
W. EDWARDS DEMING
The personal training that the MOREY executive team received from Dr. Deming helped shape and define the management philosophy of MOREY and fuels the passion for continuous improvement. MOREY uses Deming’s 14 Principles for Management underpin MOREY’s core business practices.
ELI GOLDRATT
The MOREY executive team has had extensive training in Goldratt’s “Theory of Constraints.” Any constraint that keeps MOREY from continuous improvement is identified, prioritized and overcome.
