Community to Gain Technology-Based Career Opportunities

Woodridge, Illinois, USA – To further develop its state-of-the-art engineering and testing capabilities, Morey Corporation announced today plans for a state-of-the-art technical research and design facility to be built in 2007 – the Richard R. Morey Innovation Center. The 26,300-square-foot, two story facility will be located adjacent to the company’s Woodridge, Illinois headquarters and is designed to expand Morey’s new-to-the-industry telematics, controller, and display product lines and associated services.

“Historically, Morey has been viewed as a hardened electronics manufacturer for industry leading companies,” said Keith Gelinas, vice-president of sales and marketing at Morey Corporation. “This new center will significantly enhance our engineering capabilities, delivering innovative telematics and other leading-edge products. These new design laboratories, rapid-prototype manufacturing facilities, and expanded testing capabilities will be unsurpassed in the industry, further maximizing our and our partners’ global competitiveness.”

A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for October 2, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. with key community, trade, and governmental representatives. An architectural rendering of the Innovation Center will be unveiled at the event.

“Morey continues to provide technology-based growth to the local economy,” said Scott Morey, president of Morey Corporation. ”Our Innovation Center will also provide dozens of high-quality careers in the community including process engineers who will show customers how products are developed and created, as well as how they are made.”

For more than 70 years, the Morey Corporation, located in Woodridge, Illinois, continues to be the low-cost provider of advanced, reliable hardened electronics. The company has long-term manufacturing relationships with industry leaders including Caterpillar Inc., International Truck and Engine Corporation, CNH Global N.V., and Rockwell Collins, Inc. Morey is at the forefront of innovation in electronic product development and manufacturing for the telematics, display, and controller markets.
